Information

Angie makes a range of tableware in reds, greens and white on-glaze decoration. She first designed and made earthenware tableware in tin glaze with on-glaze decoration. Her influences are lustreware from Alan Caiger-Smith and early European Faience ware.
She exhibited in Cambridge in 1980’s & 1990’s using porcelain clays making elemental forms of the sea, shells, waves and fire.

When she moved to Monmouth in 1998 she specialised in raku lighting, gaining a grant to design and fire a new type of S shaped wood fired kiln.

She exported lighting made from a series of individually thrown sphere shapes and stacked up onto a wooden base.

During her appointment as ceramicist in residence at New Brewery Arts she used using porcelain clay for figures, lidded jars and handled bowls.

She is now also using high-fired stoneware to make a range of planters and lights for use inside and out and she can be seen teaching at the Country Living Spring Fair on March 24-28.
